If you don't know me, my name is Lindsey and I am the creator of Two are better than one. I started blogging about two years ago when it was a requirement for one of my education classes in college. After my class was finished, I continued blogging for a while but then I became more and more busy until finally, I didn't have time anymore. Well... I AM BACK! It feels so good to be writing again to all of you cyber friends!
There is a lot to fill you all in on... First off, I am ENGAGED! That is the best news that I have to share on this blog. Jordan and I have been together almost two years and on August 22 he asked me to marry him and to be his wife. { sigh } I couldn't be more happy and I am fully confident that I am the luckiest girl in the world.
These are a few engagement pictures. { I will post more later! } |
I am also all finished with college! That feels GOOOOOD! I completed my internship this summer in August and now have landed a " big girl " job at one of my favorite places in town...Prairie Lakes Church. This church has been an incredible blessing to me for the past four years and it has given me the tools to grow in my faith more than I ever though possible. I am currently the receptionist as well as the Tuesday/Thursday Childcare Coordinator. It is awesome.
Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I think that more than ever before, I have SO much to be thankful for.
A Thanksgiving Day Prayer
Lord, so often times, as any other day
When we sit down to our meal and pray
We hurry along and make fast the blessing
Thanks, amen. Now please pass the dressing
We're slaves to the olfactory overload
We must rush our prayer before the food gets cold
But Lord, I'd like to take a few minute more
To really give thanks to what I'm thankful for
For my family, my health, a nice soft bed
My friends, my freedom, a roof over my head
I'm thankful right now to be surrounded by those
Whose lives touch me more than they'll ever possibly know
Thankful Lord, that You've blessed me beyond measure
Thankful that in my heart lives life's greatest treasure
That You, dear Jesus, reside in that place
And I'm ever so grateful for Your unending grace
Amen!
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise.Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
Psalm 100 : 4
Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving and make a joyful noise unto Him with psalms.
Psalm 95 : 2
What are you thankful for this year ?
With love,
Lindsey
